Fractures of metacarpus in a Prague ratter puppy

A four-month-old Prague ratter puppy fell out of its owner’s arms and broke three metacarpal bones. After unsuccessful attempts at another clinic, the puppy was referred to our clinic.

In such a small dog, these bones are only two millimetres in diameter. We had to insert wires with a diameter of 0.8 millimetres. Thanks to special equipment, the procedure was successful. The puppy can enjoy carefree years. 🙂
