Laboratory

We perform a variety of laboratory methods directly at our clinic. Among the most common diagnostic procedures are microbiological, hematological, and biochemical examinations. We can perform these tests not only on dogs and cats, but also on rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, rats, exotic birds, or reptiles. If it is necessary to send a sample to a specialized laboratory, we collect the clinical material and take care of its delivery.

Microbiology

In microbiology, the microscope is our most faithful friend. With its help, we successfully diagnose a range of mycological causes of skin diseases, protozoan parasites, or worm eggs in feces. However, animal skin problems are also frequently caused by macroscopic ectoparasites, such as fleas, biting lice, mites, ticks, chiggers, harvest mites, and others, which we instead tackle with the help of a magnifying glass.
Blood smear examination Detection of blood stages of parasites
Immunochromatographic tests 4Dx SNAP test (heartworm, Lyme disease, ehrlichia, anaplasma), FeLV/FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus and feline leukemia), FIP FAST test (detection of antibodies against feline coronavirus causing feline infectious peritonitis).
Skin, hair, and feather examination Detection of skin parasites, dermatophytes, yeasts, and bacterial infections.
Ear examination Detection of yeasts and bacterial infections of ear parasites.
Coprological examination, preventive coprology Detection of intestinal parasites.

Hematology and Biochemistry

At our clinic, we perform hematological and biochemical blood tests while you wait. It might sound like science fiction, but high-quality analyzers genuinely allow us to know the results within 20 minutes of collection.
Biochemical blood test Complete blood profile, pre-operative screening, liver and kidney markers, ion status.
Hematological blood test Morphological examination of blood elements, determination of blood properties.
BNP natriur Immunochromatographic detection of indicators of cardiovascular disease.
cPL dog Immunochromatographic detection of indicators of canine pancreatitis.
Biochemical urinalysis Semi-quantitative urinalysis using diagnostic strips.

Urology – Urinalysis

In addition to the biochemical determination of pH, leukocytes, glucose, protein, hemoglobin, and urobilinogen, we also focus on the microscopic examination of urinary sediment.
Refractometer examination Determination of urine specific gravity.
Microscopic examination of urinary sediment Detection of uroliths or blood.

Cytology

Examination of tissues or fluids evaluating the structure and appearance of cells.
